Only had kidney stone pain for about 2 minutes where I had a very slow walk. Other than the equipment malfunction where I shut off the bimactive program, it was a good run/walk. I did it a little faster than last week! Woo Hoo! Polar Watch Numbers: Duration 55:27 (includes 5 min walk to start and 5 min cool down that are not in the activity log) In Zone: 22:57 Avg HR 166 Max HR 199 Calories 642 Activity

Had to do some cycling to make it a triathalon day. I swam a half a mile today at the gym and lifted weights. Here is the biking info. I love this program! Activity

Running Again!!!!! Woo Hoo!
So, I was planning on running on Thursday, but it was 17 degrees in TAMPA. So, I opted to Zumba inside Thursday and Friday. Today, I went out to run. It felt SO good to be back out there. However, my body revolted a little. Hee Hee. First, I thought it was still kind of chilly, so I wore my new black pants that I got with my Dick's gift card that Grams and Papa gave me for Christmas. Thanks again Grams and Papa! Anyway, I didn't have any pants to run in, so I was so excited to wear them. Well, as it turns out, it isn't really very chilly at all when you are running around in the sun. Ha! In fact, the weather.com site says it is 68 right now. Of course, it was a little colder when I started out an hour ago, but regardless, it was a little too hot for me to be running in these pants. So, about 3/4 mile in, I am sweating like a pig and my heart rate is 194. So, I decide that my heart is going to stop or something, so I start to walk for a bit and then jog for a bit until I get back to the house. I ran inside really fast and changed into shorts and a short-sleeved t-shirt. Much better. By then, I have gone about 1.3 miles. So, I decide that I will do the short loop by my house and walk/run until I get to 3.1 miles. The flaw for me in the couch to 5k program is that I run nowhere near a 10 min mile. So all of the estimates in that are set at 10 min miles. So, when I went for my first 5k, I was grossly underprepared. Now, in fairness, I was only beginning week 7 of 9 so I didn't really expect to run the whole thing. I just wanted to finish it. So, I have decided that I will go more on distance now so that I am at least going 3.1 miles each time. :) So, I did my 3.1 in about the same time as I did 4 weeks ago at my first 5k event. :)
Enough rambling...here are my stats
Duration: 55 min (includes warm up and cool down)
In Zone: 12:25 (probably mainly the warm up and cool down lol)
Avg HR 171
Max HR 197 (OUCH)
Calories - 671 (let me repeat - 671!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Now, I have been eyeing a speed and distance watch (Garmin 305) but it costs 300 bucks and I can probably buy a lot of things for 300 bucks (like food, electricity, cable, etc). So, I keep researching. I see that there is a 205 model, but it is still 200 bucks. Then, I found this bodies in motion thing that you can have on your phone. It is 6 bucks a month which seems a lot more realistic (yes, yes, I know that in 50 months I could have the 305 paid for or in 33 months I could have the 205, but by then they will have an even cooler one that I will surely want. So, I am doing the bodies in motion for now. :) I do need to find a better way to take my ipod and my phone with the bodies in motion on it. It is kind of a pain to hold them. Regardless, this is what it tells me. :)
Distance 3.1
Duration 46:39 (of course 2 min of that were inside changing)
Pace 15'00 /mi
mile 1 13:36
mile 2 16:05
mile 3 15:30
