Walk and Elliptical

WOO HOO! Feeling great!

I went on a walk with Sophie and Morgan (yeah, she's back), and I ran some of it and walked some of it. A little slower on the bridge today as I was 1:10 minutes on the way and 1:05 on the way back. I did it in a 0:59 seconds the other day, but I was really trying to go fast. Today, I was just running. I screwed up the Polar and deleted the walk profile. Here is a base entry...:(




Tonight, I was angry at this person I have to deal with in life and frustrated with some work stuff, so I decided that I would do the elliptical too. Since I liked the fat burn program last night, I decided to the the interval one tonight. It was 1.5 minutes at level 1, then 3 minutes at level TEN, then 3 minutes at level 1, then 3 minutes at level TEN, etc for 30 minutes. It was a good workout. Then, I did some crunches with Morgan being my coach. :) She laughed at me, but it was fun.

Biko, Treadmill, and Elliptical




Today began with a trip to my friend Biko. Well, he was my friend before we started today's session - just kidding. Mark was still going, so I went upstairs to warm up. The ellipticals (my fav) were all taken, so i went to the treadmill - somewhat reluctantly. Low and behold, I had my best time ever on the treadmill. I started out walking and then set to do my 2 minute run before walking again. All of the sudden, I decided to turn up the incline to 1.0 instead of 0. THEN, I made it FIVE minutes straight. I walked for a bit, and then I was excited. I pushed it more and I just kept going. It was amazing. I really feel like I am making progress. I know 5 minutes might not seem like much to some people, but 5 minutes straight without even meaning to (plus the incline) was good for me. :)




After that, I went downstairs to work with Biko. He was wicked today, and had me do this pullup thing. I didn't like it at all. He also had me do some squats with the big huge bar. I didn't think I could do it, but I did. He also had me do some other evil leg stuff. I felt great after the workout though, and as always I had fun laughing with Biko along the way.




Later tonight, I decided to do the elliptical at home. Feeding off the success of the treadmill, I decided to try one of the programs (usually I just do manual). I picked Fat Burn, and it asked what level I wanted as the max and defaulted to TEN. I have never been higher than 2 on my elliptical and 4 on ANY elliptical. I decide to try it anyway. What the heck? I DID IT! 30 MINUTES! I am so proud.




Also, I had a lunch today with Lisa for her birthday (Happy Birthday tomorrow) at Olive Garden. I was so worried because I didn't think I could do well there. I looked it up and I got Apricot chicken with brocolli and asparagus. I got dressing on the side and just put a little. I had one breadstick. Prettty good I think. :)

Biko and Walk - Monday




Today, I had a session with Biko in the morning. We almost fell out of friendship. He had me do these evil leg sets. Oh man...I think I am going to be mad at him. He is the coolest trainer ever. I am so glad that I decided to do this. He makes it fun and laughs with me when I have trouble or when I do something dumb. Very encouraging and fun!
Tonight, I took the dog for a walk. She was SO hyper that at times it was easier to run with her than it was to walk and try to keep her calm. I did run the bridge in 1 minute. :)
Also, I was weighed in this morning, and I had lost 5lbs in the last two weeks for a total of 16lbs. For traveling and such, I am very proud. :)

Walk and Elliptical


Today, I walked the dog and jogged some. Then, I did 15 minutes on the elliptical. It is amazing to me that I could do all of that in a row. :) It is also weird how my elliptical now seems odd. A sign I have been traveling too much.

Step Class and Bike Ride




Today, I decided to go to a step class. I used to love step before I broke my foot doing it years ago. However, I have always wanted to get back into it. It takes the right kind of instructor that makes it fun and builds fun but challenging routines. I found one. Holy cow this class kicked my butt. I had to do parts of it on the floor, and I went through almost 3 water bottles. lol At the end, she did an ab workout that was brutal.




When I got home, the boys were going on a bike ride. I decided I would go and just ride slowly. Once we got going, I just went the same speed as them. We rode about 6 miles. :) My poor legs...

So, I started the day pretty rough. OUCH. However, I didn't let it stop me (and it would have in the past). I went to the elliptical BEFORE dinner. :) Very proud.

Tuesday in DC




Today, I knew I was going to dinner and would have some drinks. I overdid it a bit (ok, a lot), but I did anticipate it and I worked out twice - once in the morning and once before dinner. VERY Proud moment. :)

Today, I flew to DC. After dinner (with no alcohol), I convinced Tony to come with me to the fitness room. I did 30 minutes on the elliptical.

Sunday - Rest Day

Sunday, I took the girls to camp, so I was on a plane or in a rental car for most of the day. I got home around 10 pm, and I had an early flight the next day. So, I decided that it would be a rest day.

I did ok with eating. I had a bagel and a banana at the airport. I had a McDonald's cheeseburger and apple slices for lunch, and I had Friday's Dragonfire chicken, rice, and brocolli for dinner.

Saturday - Catch Up




Today was my only day home for a while, so it was a bit rushed. I had Biko for a training session, and then I did a walk with the girls and the dog.

Quebec Day 3 and Travel Home

Only swam this morning - no elliptical. Most of the day on the plane. Did well with food. Even got a peanut butter and jelly sandwich instead of a big sandwich or a slice of pizza (and it really looked good).

Quebec Day #2


I was good again, and I got up and did the elliptical and swam. :) I didn't wear my polar in the water as my other strap quit working after the water. So, I was chicken. :)
Oh, I am not even putting the food for two reasons...One, I did the best I could but the food was served to us without a menu. Two, I was in Quebec. :)

I made sure to get up in time today to do the treadmill and elliptical prior to the meeting. I also ordered cheerios, skim milk, and banana to the room. :) What a good girl.


I did the treadmill for about 15 minutes, and then I did the elliptical for the rest.

Tuesday - Graduation and Quebec

I went to Morgan's graduation from 5th grade, and I flew the long trip to Quebec. So, no working out today. I did do pretty well with the travel I think. I had half of a sandwhich for dinner. :) I didn't eat junk on the plane, and I even got apple slices at the airport to bring on the plane. :)

Monday - Biko

Today, I had a Biko session, and I did some time on the treadmill. I weighed in today, and I had lost 11 pounds. My polar numbers were erased for this day too. :(
